Morgan Nickles (pronounced like the coin). Was born and raised in Chicago, IL.
She attended and graduated from George H. Corliss High School and continued her education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale where she received her Bachelor's in journalism specializing in advertising with a minor in psychology, and her Master's in Professional Media & Media Management.
Morgan’s educational background and work experience are on opposite ends of the spectrum. While her education focused on advertising and the media; Morgan’s work experience entails linking families to resources, mentoring/tutoring young students, mental health, developing and implementing programs and educating our community on art and personal protection. Ms. Nickles is now at a point where she is able to combine all of her skills.
She does not remember being asked as a child "What do you want to be when you grow up?" It could be that people assumed she would be a doctor, lawyer, or even a teacher because she lives in books and loves to write. But, if she was asked that question, she would've probably smiled and tripped over her words, not because she’s clumsy, but because the thought of developing an answer to that question would just feel like she would be limiting what she could possibly become. And there were times when she felt she did limit herself.
Until...
Morgan read a quote, "Your dream job does not exist. You must create it!" It was at that moment when Morgan realized she had been creating her dream job since she was a child. And that every moment was leading up to now. In life, Ms. Nickles believes that we focus so much on chasing who we want to be that we don't realize who we've already become.
As a child, Morgan says, this is who I imagined myself to be... someone who helps people, create and brings visions to life.
