Holistically Educating People for the Empowerment of the Family
Valerie  A. Beavers is Founder & Executive Director of B.C.A. - The Bradley Cameron Association.

"We believe everyone has a right to participate in their own life", says Valerie.

The mission of The B.C.A. is to provide meaningful and enjoyable activities to Young adults ages 16 - 26 with sensory and physical disabilities, their families and their caregivers.  Some of the greatest challenges facing people with disabilities are loneliness and isolation.

The Bradley Cameron Association assist their members with accessing public venues. Additionally, B.C.A. advocates for and teach their members to advocate for themselves.  Their goal is to empower them with skills so that they become self-sufficient, self-confident (to their highest ability) and enjoy a healthy social life.

They envision a world where they inspire others to create an accessible environment for people with disabilities

Their program is designed for Chicago residents who are physically disabled and who want to become socially active.  Service area is the south-side of Chicago.
