She started her seven year career at Ryerson Steel in the billing department as a pricer; promoted to the merchandise department with the responsibility of expediting steel from the docks to Ryerson's 26 depot plants throughout the U.S., then later promoted to a merchandise assistant to one of the four buyers in the sheet and coil department.

In 1990, Sytira began her destiny as an entrepreneur gaining experience in the area of factoring, accounts receivable financing and residential and commercial mortgages.

She also gained experience as an administrative and executive assistant in various companies, as a temp employee while still moving forward to fulfill that undeniable call of entrepreneurship. As she continues her journey, to fulfill that call, Sytira met Anthony Stevens, beginning his call to develop a 501(c)(3) organization in 1992 which is known today as Mind Influence Attitude, Inc.; she is one of the co-founders, and served as board member and  treasurer in 1992, now she is MIA’s fundraising manager as well.

As of September 2016, Sytira started her business advisory agency & received her Life & Health Insurance license for the sole purpose of showing businesses how they can save thousands of dollars by offering their employees a robust suite of products at no additional cost to the employer and also offer more savings through custom layered solutions.  Also in August of 2016, Sytira opened a tax franchise with the intent of spreading the spirit of entrepreneurship throughout her community.

Sytira presently volunteers at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church Food Pantry as an assistant coordinator to Mrs. Paulette Toliver, Coordinator. She takes great pleasure in being apart of feeding the local community. Sytira is currently working on a project to raise funds to purchase tote bags with wheels www.gofundme.com/totewithwheels, to give out to patrons coming for food, most are without shopping carts.  While volunteering at Ebenezer a question was  posed to her from someone who operates a soup kitchen, "Have you ever thought about opening a soup kitchen?" from there the thought has grown and the desire expanded to open a soup kitchen, pantry & gardens in the very near future; to prepare for this endeavor Sytira completed her certified food service sanitation manager course at AMERICAN ACADEMY OF FOOD SAFETY to obtain her food service sanitation certification in the City of Chicago and State of Illinois.
